Amazon Prime Day

Today, July 12th, is Amazon’s Prime Day. A day Amazon started last year, were Amazon Prime members can get discounts on everything in their online store. PrimeDay as it’s called is Amazon’s version of Black Friday.


You can get just about anything on Amazon these days. They started out in 1995 selling books. Now you can get everything from Sports Web-apps to their very own tablet the Kindle Fire. They recently bought one of the largest  online shoe stores, zappos,

Amazon Prime was started in 2005 to give regular shoppers free two-day shipping on anything in store. Amazon Prime is a yearly fee of $99 but if you’re a student with an .edu email address you can sign up for half the price. In January 2016, Amazon Prime reached 54 million members according to a report from Consumer Intelligence Research Partners.
